July 17 2005 Hi Rose Lovers July 19 meeting at Government House ------------------------------------ Our July 19th meeting is a Garden meeting 6:30 PM at the Victorian Rose Garden at Government House, 1401 Rockland Ave. in Victoria There will not be a formal meeting and there will be no coffee or snacks. There is little seating available in the garden, we suggest you bring sunscreen and a hat, and something to drink. Park on Rockland Ave, and walk in the second driveway (the exit), the Victorian Rose Garden is on the left as you face the House. We need to be out again by dusk, when the gates are closed. If it is seriously raining at 5:00 PM, go to the Elk Lake Church Hall instead for 7:30 PM meeting Peter Beales seminar --------------------- Thank you to all of the members who helped with the successful Beales seminar. We had 170 paying guests, and filled the David Lam auditorium satisfactorily. Mr. Beales and the C.R.S. were well pleased with the showing, which was the best in Canada. We sold 34 books for Peter Beales, who graciously signed them for everyone who lined up, and the C.R.S. and the Peninsular Rose club will split approximately $1,150 in profit from the event. At the Peter Beales seminar, we welcomed 6 new members to the Peninsular Rose Club. Hello to those of you who are receiving email for the first time.
